This morning in the garden, I was thinking about the importance of a reading plan, a training plan.
We all have different goals, we all have different ways of achieving them, but today I want to share with you one of my most powerful coaching tools: the reading plan!
If you think a reading plan is like a training plan: BINGO! You’ve got it right.
Today, it’s a different subject, peripheral to seduction, we’re going to be more in personal development because without substance, without personality, you won’t seduce.
Neither women, nor your friends, nor your potential employers.
Go for the reading plan to reach your goals and take it to the next level!
1/ Read, read, read!
Or watch Youtube videos. Sounds good to me too. Or watch documentaries on the subject in question.
The only concern with videos is that you remain passive. Where reading engages you in an active process of reflection.
Whatever area you want to progress in, there are books on the subject, on DIY, on kings of petanque, on animal photography, on absolutely every subject.
But you have to take the trouble to look. New books, second-hand books, books that friends will lend you, libraries where subscriptions are free or cheap: go and seek knowledge!
It won’t come to you, it’s up to you to go to it rather than watch videos.
If you are learning on video I always ask you to bring a pen and a notebook to get involved in the process of memorization and learning.
2/ Become an expert, it goes fast
Why become an expert, you may ask?
– To beef up your resume. To hold discussions with pros.
– To better understand other experts. To sell yourself better at a job dating.
– To differentiate yourself from your competitors. To stand out from the crowd.
– To shine on a first date by becoming completely captivating, without it degenerating into a dumb dinner.
And most importantly: because you’re interested! Because the subject fascinates you, fascinates you!
When I was a kid, I used to read all about the Roman legions and Caesar, then I switched to reading Joypad and Joystick from the age of 10 to 14, before switching to female psychology and seduction when I entered high school.
Since then, this passion for human psychology has never left me, and I have made it one of the pillars of my profession as a seduction coach.
Simply read 3 to 5 books on a subject. It will bring nuance to what you say.
3/ Having this culture of learning
One last point to make you aware of the importance of having a reading plan: the robotization of work, mass unemployment, the rise of artificial intelligence.
From today, and even more so tomorrow, THE quality that will save you is your ability to learn.
There is a great or frightening statistic that circulates: 85% of the jobs of 2030 do not exist today.
Our survival, yours, mine, depends on our intellectual plasticity, depends on our ability to learn new skills.
Our place in the society of the future depends on our curiosity, on our ability to stay on the alert, to continue to learn.
A solid reading plan is at the basis of this habit to take, this lifestyle of leadership, to build your future rather than suffering it and resting on a possible “universal income”.
The reading plan: it’s up to you!
Come on, enough talk, action! Here is your action plan to progress thanks to your reading plan.
Step 1/ It all starts with a question: what do I want to do? Where do I want to go in 5 years, in 10 years? Why do I want to learn new skills?
Step 2 / Pen and paper: what do I want to learn?
What skills does my boss have that I don’t have at the moment? What skills do I need to learn to get to the next level?
Step 3/ How do I set up my business if I want to become self-employed? What do I know about the subject?
Step 4/ What books should I read in the next 3 months?
Go Amazon, , go internet, go to your bookseller or to the public library. The knowledge is just a few clicks away from you.
But you have to take charge of yourself and invest in yourself, invest in your future.
You have to invest this 100$ in 5 books that will change your life, that you will read in the next 2 or 3 months.
Folks, I’m counting on you to pull your fingers out. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by books at a young age, and to love reading. You can “catch up” and get on the road to success.
The more I read about greatest leaders, the more I read about success, business creation, coaching, team performance, the more I find the same reading habits in all top performers.
It’s up to you!
